Dear Lord,

I realize after coming back from vacation that the work you have for me on this earth is designed to increase my need for you.  To depend on you.  To have a relationship with you.

Yet, I have such a hard time seeing you during the day.  I get sidetracked.  I get self-absorbed.  There are so many people that I come into contact with that I just don’t see as you do.  There are so many opportunities that I am blind to, or simply lazy to take on.

Please protect me from living a life not centered on you. Please let me have your perspective.  Please increase my love for people in my life, and for you.  Don’t let me keep going in my own way.
