This is my first attempt at joining a meme that was listed on Christian Women Online, entitled “Thankful Thursdays”, started by Iris over at the blog Sting My Heart.  I think that taking a moment out of every week to focus on the things God has blessed me in my life is something that I very rarely do, and it will help me recognize God’s love for me and the ways that he is working in my life.  I also hope it will help me stick to writing frequently, and to meet other women bloggers as well 🙂   

So without further a-do (or however you spell that), here are three things I’m most thankful for this week:

1. God’s patience with me.  Even when he opens doors for me, sometimes I’m too stubborn headed to walk right through them.  For over 6 months (probably even a year), I’ve been struggling with finding a sense of purpose.  Even though I felt being led to write, I was stuck with questions and excuses that led me nowhere.  His patience finally led me to start this blog, and now I finally feel as if I’m breaking through and getting closer to what he would like me to do.  That’s just cool to me.
2. My CoWorkers.  I often take it for-granted that I work at a place filled with people who really care for me.  I’m blessed to have worked with these people and gotten to know them on a deeper level.  I hope that God continues to work through me to continue and grow these relationships.
3. Not having to pay scary medical bills.  Yes, the “death virus” (as I termed my sickness that lasted two weeks), yeilded costly medical expenses. Luckily, my insurance has covered everything but the co-pays, but yesterday I got two bills from bloodwork that didn’t.  They were over 1,000 – so I was a little scared.  After calling, evidently my insurance number was recorded incorrectly and I’m pretty sure that my insurance will cover them.  This was such a blessing.

 That’s not nearly all, but I have to run to work!
