This particular passage in James has touched my heart this morning for its simplicity. Sometimes I feel as if God is so far away, but this points out that if our movement is towards him, he will also walk closer with us.
“And when you draw close to God, God will draw close to you” – James 5:8
Grace in the Gravel 
There’s a song called “Come Closer” (I think). I’ve yet to listen to this song and reframe from shedding a tear. It’s something I find myself pleading to God for on a regular basis. There are moments when I feel him right there and when that moment leaves, I want more. My favorite lyrics from that song: “Come in close, come in close and speak. God come in close, come closer to me.”
