This morning I read John 3:30, that says:

He must increase, I must decrease.

The instruction is straightforward and clear: I must become less. I must find my complete self in him. I must run to him to find my value. Losing myself means gaining everything that is pure and true and good.

He lives! He promises to live in me, to take control, to pay for all of my shortcomings and sins and make me right again!

What good news. All that he asks is that I believe it enough to let go and give everything to him. My prayer is that I would begin to believe his way is better than my way and to live life under this simple instruction.
